1"

The templater was here last night and I told him to make the overhang 1.25", the reason being my old counters measured anywhere from 1" to 1.25". Seems like everything I am reading is 1" is the maximum overhang you should do. Does anyone think my extra 1/4" will make any difference? My edge profile on my old counters were only 3/4" thick but my new ones will be 1.5" so I am thinking if the 1.25" overhang might seem too much. Not sure I could change it now though anyway.

I am thinking of going with a slightly deeper overhang. Why? Because I've been keeping notes on things I like for quite some time, and I really liked a small feature in the bathroom at the Mirage Hotel in Vegas: The hand towel bar was quite substantial and was located right in front of the sink. I found a picture on line:

Hmmm, I remembered this bathroom looking nicer. Perhaps we were in a deluxe room? I can't remember.

1.25 will be just fine.
