What is your budget and what are your goals with the room? Are those two freezers or a fridge and freezer? Do you need both capacities?

It’s a fridge and a upright freezer. We have no storage for brooms etc. I would like a place to fold and hang up the clothes. Budget whatever I need for it.

Do you need to hang clothes to dry or just hang them on hangers as they come out of the dryer? A fold down valet rod will work for brief hanging. Or you can can run a clothes rod in front and above the cabinet doors. See if you can reach that high with a hanger in your hand.

A row of hooks on a wall works well for brooms and some mops.

I just need to hang them as they come out the dryer. Should I get rid of the cabinets over the washer and dryer?

That’s weird, I posted on this thread, but I believe from the Houzz.com address. Nothing shows on this one ??? It was 3 or so hours ago.

ETA, no, I didn’t post on this thread, sorry :) Another thread with small layout was posted and that was the one I posted to.

I like the idea of the closet valet rod!

Can you fold on top of the units? Then rods on the wall to the left, and/or replace the cabinets with a higher shelf + rod under. Actually, this is the one place where I like wire shelving, as it can be used for a shelf and a few hangers simultaneously...

Unplug the fridge and use it to store your brooms... ;)

My little alley kitchen is also our laundry room. Frankly we have to carry the laundry into the den or living room for folding. Here is what I call getting maximum range from a small space. I moved the laundry into the Kitchen so my handicapped wife doesnt have to go up and down steps to do the laundry
