well, right now they are reflecting the lamp and you can't really appreciate them

I was inspired by these from Houzz. If I did hang them... how high?

I would hang then and about ten inches higher. Just a suggestion but you can toss it out but I think your bedding would look so much better two aqua pillows to replace the pinkish ones.

Hang them. If they were taller they would be OK to lean, but they're too close to being the same height as your headboard.

See how bad these short mirrors look next to the bed above?

Sorry, but your mirrors are not tall enough. You don't want to hang them that high above the nighstands

I don't see the point of night stands having a mirror over them.

^^ I like mirrors over a nightstand if there are no windows on the bed wall! I have this, and they reflect all the other windows in the room & basically become windows themselves.

    Hang them.

What a lovely well appointed room you have created. I am in the no mirrors camp.

I don't think they are adding anything to your space.

I love the look w/the mirrors. who cares if they reflect the lamps? I'd hang them. a few inches above the stands.

a 1-2" lower than your tape

    these are too high

    How’s this?

that looks nice but if they were a tad bit taller theyd look nicer.

not everything needs to have a "point" that is perfectly done
the mirrors behind lamps function very well as a way to make the room bigger and to add glam and reflect the light

who cares , i like it

Looks really pretty. I would get an off white duvet and lay a faux fur throw at the foot of the bed.

I think I would prefer the shade to be in the center of the mirror (lowered just a tad.)

I like to have a mirror on the nightstand, and definitely not leaning. I think 1 1/2 to 2 inches above the nightstand gives a purposeful appearance with the nightstand and mirror appearing as a unit...too detached and it seems, IDK, like an after thought , disconnected....JMO. But adds a little sparkle and agree with Designhome about reflecting the light.

    I’m happy with it :)

Rachel, are the mirrors centered over the nightstands? in the photo it looks like they hang over the side. or are they just wider? you could go an inch or two lower,,, nice mirrors. where are the from?

I love the look but would lower the mirrors about 2 inches.

If you can, move the nightstands away from the bed a couple of inches on each side, then center your mirror on your nightstand. Right now the closeness of the mirrors to the headboard bothers me more than the height. And someday when the budget allows, I'd get lighter lampshade. While I like the color of yours with your bed, I don't think it's a great color to be reflecting in the mirror - there's too much brown. If you look at your inspiration pics and those posted by others, almost all are cream or white and the darker shades in one are not as dark as yours, plus the mirrors are much larger, so the mirror isn't filled with brown shades. I think you'd get more sparkle and brightness with lighter shades.

    It's a very pretty room!

Hi Beth I got them yesterday at HomeGoods... and I will try moving them down a bit after the neighbors wake up LOL

I agree about the lampshades too.

Generally, this usage of mirrors is to add drama to the bedroom and sometimes to reflect light. The first issue I notice is the horizontal fabric pattern on the headboard. IMO, it should have run vertically on a much taller headboard. Then, taller mirrors should be hung 5" above wider bedside tables.

    Looks good!

It's amazing how much difference a couple of inches can make. I like it.

Here is what we did in one clients home. Note how tall the mirrors are and how far above the bedside tables they are.

What size mirrors did you use and how tall are your lamps with the shades on them?
