My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Did you use the Cabot bleaching stain on the siding?

    I'm not the builder but we've done similar siding jobs like this and the cabot bleaching stain is one option to get this look. Another is a product called Life Time. do a google search for lifetime stain. It weathers to this color after about a year.

      cedar will last longer and cost more but pine will last a very long time if it is sealed properly on all sides before it is installed and will be much less expensive.

      as a comparison in this picture, the garage doors are cedar and the garage siding is pine. i'm not sure how the cedar will take the stain as it is naturally much more red/orange in color whereas pine is naturally very light
