I'm not surprised that your hosta shopping continues lol..I shouldn't talk about what anyone buys for their garden..these arrived today..bought 2 sets..sturdy, cute and cheap!..not sure how many new empty pots that I have..quite a few different sizes and colors..can't wait until spring..

I am afraid I am not buying hosta. But I wish I were! That's a nice list you have there Karin. The wooden shelves look great too.

But to be honest, at the moment I wish I would have more space to plant in the ground. The weather here is so wet for two months now that you feel like living in a cloud and the soil in the pots is so wet even where they are under a roof or hedge that I'm afraid there might be a bad surprise in spring. It is too warm for winter, the weather reports says 14°Celsius for the Christmas weekend...

it's been unseasonably warm here too..it wouldn't be pretty but do you have a tarp or something to cover the pots to keep them dry?..

I feel the same way you do Karin---I wish I could plant more hosta in the ground. I think that some hosta just grow better in the soil.

I agree with Nicholsworth---it would be good to cover your pots if you are experiencing such wet weather.

Nice amaryllis. I just bought one and have yet to plant it.

I talked with one of my dealers about covering them and he said there might be a problem with mice then. One of the neighbours has rabbits and there are lots of mice around...I will try to build a little protection with the stones and boards I normally use as shelves. Dealing with mother nature is always a risk...
