Help with tiny master bathroom

I would like to update our tiny (40 sq ft) master bathroom. I don’t think we can afford to replace the shower so I need to choose tile that would go with the pattern on the shower walls. I‘m wondering if most people think the existing tile is outdated as I do. I’m partly colorblind so they may not be as bad as I’m thinking. If you’d update the floor what color would you go with to compliment the shower walls? (Cream and blue).

New floor tile will make the existing shower look older. I suggest that you keep the flooring shown and save up until you are ready to replace the shower and flooring at the same time. If the cultured marble is not looking shiny and is getting harder to clean, you can renew the finish on the walls with Gel Gloss.

If you're wanting to replace your floor tiles to match the shower (first pic?) shown, consider matching the darkest gray in your shower and then use that gray tile as the single solid color for your floor tiles.

Can you show a pic of the whole room?

Pics would be good. I think the best would be to wait a bit longer save a little more and gut this to the studs and start over . I agree the more new stuff you add the worse the shower will look

Have you thought about repainting the bath walls instead of replacing the floor? Pull one of the lighter colors from the floor or even white. Change the hardware on the vanity. Add artwork with either an accent or one of the blues (or is it green???) in your floor. Add fluffy white towels. I think it would tie everything together while you are saving to get the renovation funds.

^This one may have too much blue for you, but it shows you the concept. I think the yellow walls in your bath are throwing it off. They aren't quite the right yellow for the blue you have now.

This one below has a blue tile floor with white walls

It looks like there is another shower door in the bathroom. Do you have two showers, one where a bathtub was and one smaller shower stall? Do they have identical cream and blue cultured marble?

I agree a fresh coat of blue paint would be a good choice. If you choose a new paint color, change your light bulbs first to get better color rendition. Check label on the exhaust fan to see the maximum wattage for its light bulb. You can try a couple different color temperatures (warm white or daylight) of LED bulbs to see what you prefer.

A friend could help with finalizing your choice of blue.

Apple_pie_order, there is only one shower. The vanity is in one room and the shower and toilet in another smaller room. Strangely enough there are 3 lights in our he tiny shower room. (1 in the shower, 2 in the exhaust fan/heater, and 3 a regular ceiling light. ). I would like to remove the wall between the two rooms but my husband likes the privacy and won’t let me. Haha

Definitely match the cream color on the shower wall. The lighter the color is, the larger it will make the entire room look. Also use grout to match the tile, and seal it properly. And win money allows, definitely replace the shower!
