I have a couple of suggestions…your table and chairs…I have always loved that look. I once had the same; but I consider the style quite traditional. So, the turquoise color and Moroccan theme doesn’t work for me.

I also think a different chandelier would work so much better. Rectangular would be a perfect shape.

Yes, a rug would anchor the table/chairs. Look into something indoor/outdoor for that area and then put the turquoise in the living area. I like this rug because it is somewhat traditional and has touches of black.

I agree that a contrasting linear light fixture would compliment your kitchen better and the turquoise, though bright, isn't a selection on the same level as the rest of your items. If you think you require a contrasting color, step down the color to a blue that is a bit more dusty or gray like you see below.

I wouldn't place a rug under the dining table, but here are rugs for your seating area.

A more subdued blue would work for your room.

I like the design concepts that BeverlyFLADeziner and JudyG Designs recommended. A pop of color will definitely add some depth to your space. An area rug would help preserve the flooring under the table and chairs from all the usage and potential scratching and finish wear and tear. If you happen to opt out of an area rug under your table and chairs, please be sure to add some felt pads under each chair and table leg.

I disagree about the area rug under the dining room table. I would never put one under a kitchen table either. There will be crumbs, spills and food to contend with. It just always sees so unsanitary to me. I remember when kitchen carpet was in style, and lets not forget wall to wall bathroom carpeting. That's just my personal feeling on the subject
