We are painting the main level of a large, spacious house (with lots of big windows and cathedral ceilings in the front and the back). We are staining the oak floors "expresso" color. our new kitchen will be white uppers and grayish/brown base cabinets. We were interested in a warm gray color - something neutral but that would look really nice as well (not too boring). Our contractor is telling us that the gray we selected (which I think is similar to Functional Gray) is too cool for the space. Any recommendations on colors to consider? I'd like to stay in the gray or beige tones.
