Update in living room

This living room has me confused. I need a light bright look but something is off and I would love some help! The sofa, chair and ottoman are new, but I am up for changes for the rest. My husband hates the thought of repainting, but that is up for grabs as well. Where should I start?

So far. We are still “in discussion” over TV. So it still sits where it was before, unplugged! Haha!

Now to finish entryway, hang accessories, rearrange whatever needs rearranging...lol. It is not “there yet” so now what? I love it so far and have had compliments already!

I think I will rearrange the furniture and take another pic but man is that sofa heavy!!

    Wow!!

    so very pretty:))

the layout looks great and comfy for conversation..have you decided not to put tv over fireplace? Keeping it in the nook?

We are still in discussion...have supplies...lol

Other angles. Clearly have more to do.

Should the tables trade places anywhere?

And I love how the shades bring texture and warmth at the same time.

You have done a great job...yes woven shades are my favorite thing to add to windows..the add a lot of texture and warmth to a room....the new lamp looks great!...I had another client get them for her bedroom nightstands and they look great....really good buy:))

I actually love the hutch....the warm wood looks great with the woven shades..are you still thinking about painting it?

maybe think about only painting the inside a color..would look great!

Saw this tray decor and thought you might like it...I found a pretty lantern and floral that you could put together on the tray with some stacked books..

Walls? That floor mirror is on approval. Here are old pics before the furniture was recovered. Can that clock be used? The print?

Shopping for those flowers and lantern! Lol!

I really like the dark blue with the green, you just need to pull it together and spread the white around. Do put the TV above the fireplace and make that the focal point. I would try the curved sofa facing the fireplace (it may be too large, but try it). The chair with the white side table on the left and the dark side table to the right of the sofa. You may need to look for a green and blue patterned accent chair for the right of the fireplace, possibly tilted toward the couch. The alcove where the TV is now could hold a tall shelf unit...sort of a sparse library look or add a beautiful framed art piece above a shallow lower table.

What a transformation with just a little back-breaking work. Your white sofa and dark chair are classic and beautiful together. I would remove the second rug in your entry, just get a larger one like you have currently in the space.
Oops. I see you already painted. Love what you’ve done so far.

It was a good call on the blinds - looks great! Fabulous transformation. Can hardly wait to see the rest.

So I have this very old and ugly table that I can paint deep navy. I have looked for a better table I like with space underneath for poufs., but thought I might try this first.what do you think?
I have these fabrics as well.

What is the length underneath between the legs?

    Ooo yikes 36” exactly.
So could I make them 17” but 18” tall?

Raynerm where did you get your foyer rug from? Your rooms are looking great!

Julie can you tell me where you got your swivel chairs in your living room? I heard you mention how comfortable they were.

    Thanks you both!
    Overstock! Really!

Thank you Julie. Feels good to me, too. Hubs likes to have a place to sit when putting shoes on. That was my goal with the poufs. Now I am short a chair in the LR

Oh I love that one! But I already ordered the first one...so impulsive am I! Which lamp do you love the best? I am a little afraid of the large lamps as it is a bit tight coming in the door with the table moved over.
