We need at least 2 bedrooms downstiars. One will be the master suite and the other a guest bedroom.

How many square feet will be on the lower level? Will you need ensuites for both bedrooms? Laundry facilities? Location of stairwell/elevator? Location of windows? Will the lower level be in a full basement, or will it be a walk-out basement?

After discussing it with my husband we have deided that we want about 2300 sq ft on the main level. There will be 2 master suites with full baths on either end of the dowstairs. In the center of he home we want a large, open kitchen and family room, small dining room and small craft room in he center of the home. Upstairs will have walk out attic and another large bedroom with full bath.

Sounds like a major renovation/build Lynn. You might be best served by finding a local architect to help you draw up plans that work for you.
