By the way, you can't get High Reflective White in all SW paint product lines so it makes HRW a less ideal option.

Make sure you know how your lights will change the colors, e.g., 2700K is very yellow, 3000K less so, 4000K probably too white. All of this will look different by daylight.

It isn't just the paint color, it is the paint color plus the lighting in the room.

If you have any sort of home based on a traditional revival style (like the Spanish/Mediterranean) that you mentioned, I would tend more toward Pure White. It is a little softer, just a touch more creamy, and wont look quite so cool and contemporary (in some lights and with some colors, Extra White may even tend ever so slightly blue). We have used Pure White on out trim and ceilings in our 70 year old home and it looks clean and crisp, but doesn't look out of place in that environment. But as others have said, I would look all colors at day and night with the elements they will coordinate with and see which one feels right to you.

Thanks for the info. We’ve painted huge squares in different parts of the living room, alabaster is just to creamy yellow tones for me. I’m leaning towards pure white just doing the walls in an eggshell and the cabinets in a gloss?
