Access looks like it could be a problem, the next question is how much privacy are you looking for? In order to operate these window coverings, you may want to consider window coverings that are controlled by a remote such at the Powerview app from Hunter Douglas. Secondly, this looks like either the front or back entrance and privacy is usually a concern. A good option might be some honeycomb shades (I like Hunter Douglas Duette or Applause window shadings) with a Top Down Bottom Up Lifting feature so that you can maintain privacy but still allow a lot of light into your home.

I think a sliding shutter system would work well in your space. The panels slide to one side so you can have it completely open for light or close it when you want the privacy. Shutters are easy to maintain and last forever.
