You haven't said what your needs are. Will small children be spilling food all over the carpet? Do you have cats? Do you like Persian carpets? You can get great deals on Kashan carpets now. You do need to educate yourself a bit on Persian carpets and hand-knotted carpets in general before you put down any money. A well-made quality Persian carpet reads quality the minute one sees it and gives sophistication and history to your home. You don't want to vacuum it much as that will loosen the hand-tied knots, a carpet-sweeper is better.
