What is your budget?

Do you have any thoughts on a backsplash?

Which type of counters do you think you want: granite, marble, quartzite, soapstone, quartz, corian, wood, tile, etc?

How much sun light do you get? My first impulse is a plain white. Either Corian or engineered Quartz.

I love the idea of a white counter with dark cabs but sometimes that can be expensive. Some other ideas are a gray or creamy color.. Looking forward to see some photos of your space to see what might work.

What do you think of Silestone Arctic? It's white and cream with some tiny gray specs. I'm going to try to figure out how to attach photos. I'm not sure if this would be considered warm since it's both white and cream? I could do a cream backsplash.

Here it is next to the floor in my dining room.

Also considering snowcap which is Viatera. It has no white and us very grainy so doesn't look as beautiful but it matches

I think that will work. That is similar to my countertop (LG White Pearl) in colors. What looks gray is actually in part the pearly quartz stone looking part which is sort of transluscent. it is hard to tell on a computer monitor because they distort colors a bit. My countertop looks cool in some light, but overall is warm.

I really like the Arctic with your cabinets. I think it's a great choice. I agree that it's also the prettier choice.

im going against the majority, i like the snowcap better. it has the color of the cabs in it which i like. the other is so gray it has no warmth to it. your cabs and floors are "warm" and i feel the arctic is on the "cool" side.

Snowcap...colors pick up cabs and visually more subtle.

Third for Snowcap! Arctic is a bit busy for my taste.

Snowcap. I especially love how it looks in the last photo.

To me, the Arctic reminds me of laminate patterns, including one I had back in 1985. If you like that effect, laminate might be worth a look. Some of the new HD laminates are expensive, but some might be just as pretty and cheaper than quartz.

I like the white aspect of Arctic. I'm thinking the movement will camouflage crumbs etc. I like the brown viens in snowcap but not the overall background color. I'm open to suggestions. Thank you all!

Tough choice... I vote Snowcap. I think the lighter less veining is going to look stunning.
