Have you considered putting in a large area rug under the seating? It would tie the area together.

It’s a nice looking room. I’d get a large rug, big enough so the front legs of the upholstered pieces are on it at the least, could be larger if you can manage it. Lower the artwork over the sofa to about 6-8” above it, and get a rug for the door that coordinates with the main rug.

I’m seeing something in a lighter color with a pattern to set off the dark furniture. Something that picks up your wall color?

I agree that an area rug is needed and I would also suggest a few plants to cozy up the space.
