1860 Historic House Interior painting help!

I’ve removed all old wallpaper, now I want to paint! Looking for suggestions. Starting with the upstairs hallway, then moving to downstairs entry/hall. I want to remain Historic but modern and a nice flow throughout. Space is narrow, doesn’t see much sunlight. Ceilings are high... any suggestions anyone?
