It looks to me like a standard Sans. trifasciata, someone might say Sans. zeylanica, but most places I've read say that they're the same thing.

As for watering, they don't like wet feet, especially in the winter. Some people will tell you not to water it at all in the winter... where do you live? If you're in a more southern zone where it hardly ever drops below 50 you could actually keep it out as long as it doesn't drop below that mark for long periods. A well draining soil mix is best and when spring comes around and they start to grow more, they'll tolerate more water.

Well, not always, but sometimes you can ask someone in that department if they know the specific name. Or they might be able to give you the distributor's name and you could find it through their website. Doesn't always work though.

Seems to be Sans. trifasciata but there is a lighter brighter new one on the market. If it holds that bright color. Most turn darker with age. Nice well grown plant. BTW, I have purchased some very nice rare sans from the Big Box Stores. Home Depot had some S. tri. hahnii 'Gold Hahnii' on sale for under $4. Sadly not by any stores by me. I have seen in Lowes San. t. Black Coral for under $10 in a big gallon pot with plant standing 3 feet tall. I love looking at all the stores plant dept. Never know what gems you could find.

I have a bad habit of not being able to drive by a Lowe's without stopping in just to "see what they have". We have 5 Lowe's in a 25 mile radius so it can become a major problem hahaha!!!

I do really love the lighter brighter shade my plant currently has. Hoping it retains that coloring. Maybe there is some hope because the taller leaves are lighter than the shorts leaves, wishful thinking!!
