I am in the process of decorating the master bedroom and ensuite and I'm a little stuck withe the most suitable rug for this room! I will be constructing a tufted headboard using the fabric shown at the head of the bed and will be adding fabric covered buttons and crystal tacks to create a double border around the edges of the head board. I will also be changing the current chandelier to a crystal one to coordinate with the lamps and trim on the headboard.

The ensuite is as shown (painted gray with a light gray and silver wallpaper), crystal chandelier and magenta towels, rugs and other accessories. We will also be painting the cabinet a charcoal color paint and trimming it with chrome and crystal handles and knobs!

I need help with the kind of rug to use (I was thinking a variation of cream and gray with a bit of a swirly pattern then using accent cushions such as a medium teal and magenta colour cushions on the bed and chairs, either a gray or magenta throw near the end of the bed and pale gray, solid color bedding in the winter and white with a little gray in the summer!

Can I get some other ideas of what you might suggest that could improve on what I'm thinking?

What would you put at the head of the bed, if anything?
