I don't know if they are 30's or not, so I will defer to others in the group as I'm not that familiar with repro fabrics.

However, I do have extra 30's fabric in my stash that I am more than willing to share with you. My fabrics are from the "30's Playtime by Chloe's Closet for Moda" collection, since that is the primary line carried by my LQS.

Well I've heard from some garden web folks who are not necessarily in agreement with my assessment on the fabric and that's fine. If you have the blocks made, send them in, the winner in all probability can "make it work", ..as Tim Gunn would say!

I've used not so 30's fabric with 30's fabric and when they are together, it works, my swoone quilt is an example of a mix.

So sorry if I steered you in the wrong direction. Our hope is for folks to have fun, hone skills and enjoy the process!

Jennifer, thank you for the very kind offer, but I am trying to downsize my sewing room. I’m sure I have enough proper fabrics, without using the dots, for the three blocks. I’ll repeat some of them if necessary.

I drove 40 miles, one way, to Hobby Lobby yesterday. They had one 1930’s fabric. :(

They did have a bolt of Kona Black, (!) and I bought 1/3 yd. of Kona “Cardinal” for February’s block. That was the only “red” they had. They did have a “burgundy,” but it was too brown to be a true red.

I also picked up bright solids in yellow, orange, and green to fill out my colors for our May blocks so, all in all, it was not a wasted trip.

I also dropped off 40 items at a thrift store; and gave a friend 22 hard cover books that I no longer wanted - but she did! (Janet Evanovich’s “Plum” series. Thet started out great and evolved into tedious.) and then ate at a Chinese buffet.

Today, I hope to fire up the cute little Bernina and sew!

Joann's has a new line of 30's fabrics now.

Actually, the colors in that photo look like thirty's to me - but the circle design's don't.

Sounds like you had a great day and that's important after all. I think those fabrics would look great as the backing on a 30's quit but are not technically repro fabrics.

Sounds like a fun trip to me. Fabric and thrift shops - what could be better? Maybe chocolate.
