I have no idea what that style would be. IMO chandeleirs that have little shades are for traditional spaces , I actully find that one a bit ugly in how the finish is and doesnot work at all with the kitchen light , which I love BTW. Why not a chandelier with at least clear glass or something like these .I just wnet to the Juliska site there are awesome lights ther go with something form there for sure.

Perhaps an island light is too much for the space, and you are right that is a tough call to bridge these two designs cohesively. Have you considered a recessed light over island? Alternately, you might consider infusing a little color into a single pendant with a down focused light.

Hi Jim, yes- we will have recessed lights throughout the space so easy enough to put a couple directly over the island. I had thought a ceiling light of some sort would further define the space between dining and cooking areas but perhaps it is overkill. If its not too much to ask, would you advise me on what would look nice w/ the pendant I currently have over the sink? I have aged brass type finishes in the living area which is adjacent to dining area (open concept) so I don't want too much silver...

Oh- also, the dining table is long 84" regularly but w/ guests 120"-- so a linear form is best

What about a linear LED pendant like the attached brass example?

If available, you could also use a pair of the same pendant that is over the sink over island. I am not a big fan of clear glass pendants over an island as a general rule, but in this case might be as solution.
