suggestions for mirror wall design in kitchen

This is a fairly small kitchen with a window above the sink. On the opposite wall is where considering mirror design to make kitchen bigger and reflect light from window. On this wall no upper cabinets were placed in renovation.

Also wondering if purchased to small of light fixture over island??

Any thoughts or suggestions thanks!

very nice. the light is not too small. what were your plans for the opposing blank wall? how about some wood shelving to warm things up a bit?

that's a very large expanse. wondering why you're trying to decide what goes up there at this late stage?

you could have had something like these towers

mirror subway tiles

you could something like this, with wood shelving and tile up to the shelf w/the mirror tiles.. and antique mirror.

Mirrors are a really bad idea for a kitchen. Who's going to keep them clean? Cooking fumes and grease will settle on them, no matter how far away the stove is.

If you want to put mirrors in your kitchen go right ahead. Whose going to clean them is entirely your business.

Beth. Thank you for pictures and suggestions. I had a designer help w kitchen and recommended mirror with grey white washed wood frame to open room up. However after all soffits were removed pipes at each corner of opposing wall were revealed and could not be removed. Therefore corner dry pieces were constructed over area which prevented the boxed in mirror look. In opposing door opening is bar area similar to your pictures you posted. Love a lot of your ideas. Appreciate your help.
