Hi! My vote is for the top one (nimbus) - imo it’s pretty and more interrsting than the others.

I like the Nimbus. You don't want an almost match, because that's just a miss. Without seeing it in person, I'll bet that there are colours in the Nimbus that will work nicely with the sink colour without trying to "be the same". Plus it's really pretty!

Thanks for all the input. Of the quartzes, I have consistently loved the Nimbus. DD liked the marble-look quartzes but recently came over to nimbus. DH really wants soapstone, so I guess this is his way of replicating that look. For that matter, when we visited the stone warehouse, DD chose a quartzite ($2700 slab!) and I lusted after the marbles. We are veering away from marble-look quartzes because we're not convinced they work with our white cabinets. Here's LG Viatera in Karis. Beautiful on its own; gorgeous with the sink; not so sure with the cabinets.

sherri1058 - Yes, my thoughts exactly. I don't need to match the sink, but I don't want to clash with it either. That's why we spent so much time looking at marble-look quartz. Beautiful contrast with the sink, but not great with the paint. Argh! I wish we'd chosen the countertop before we painted, but we had time off work due to hurricane Irma, and some leftover (untinted) cabinet coat, so we just went for it.

Why don't you do soapstone with an integrated soapstone sink? A friend did this and adores it and it looks fabulous.

Exchange the truffle sink for the anthracite color.

Um, we like soapstone, but not for this kitchen. We are trying to lighten it up, hence the crisp white paint, perusal of light/mid grey countertops, & additional lighting. The floors are pretty dark and, while we may go nuts and rip them out when we move on to the next project (new flooring in carpeted rooms), we don't want dark-ish countertops. We had basalt slate laminate in our last house, but there was a wall of west-facing windows. I am trying to find a non porous cement look, and these contenders are my last hope. #readytogo

The sink has been sitting in my bedroom for a long time. I dragged it to the kitchen to check the samples in the kitchen light.

I like the Nimbus, have you thought about what backsplash you are going to do? That will come into play as well with the selection of color.........

I like the Nimbus for your kitchen. With white cabinets and a white backsplash, it adds some visual interest, and keeps it from being cookie-cutter.

With your sink, and the white cabinets, I'd go with the Silestone, hands down. It has the same tone as the sink, but the white veining will relate to the cabinets. It has some interest as well -- the raw concrete looks too dull to me.

We are all leaning toward the silestone now. Just polled my household again, and all agree. I wanted this to be a consensus decision, so I am going to move on this & will call for pricing in the morning.

The backsplash will most likely be a white subway. We removed cabinets over the peninsula, as well as several upper cabinets on the adjacent sink wall. We'll replace that dish storage with stained wood shelves & dark iron brackets; rustic-industrial. Trends seep in very slowly where we live, so we'll be ahead of the curve / on-trend for a few years ;)

Well, I got the estimates, and the silestone is significantly more than the other two. In fact, I could get a beautiful quartzite for that price. So, unless we face a supply issue - or I get back to the stone warehouse for another look - I'll order the nimbus!

At first I thought the Nimbus, but after seeing with your sink, definitely the Silestone for the reasons R S states have.
