Need input on choosing backsplash to compliment counter

Hi, I'm looking for help choosing a backsplash that will look good in my kitchen and go well with my granite countertop. Going back for more granite is not an option. I like the idea of white subway with a dark gray grout but I don't know if it would go. Should I do a gray tile?

Please disregard the rug; my 16 year old pug is having a hard time on my hardwood floors.

The countertop is reading more tan than gray to me but it could just be because I'm viewing it on a computer screen. But it appears to clash with your gray paint so i suggest you stay away from gray tiles.

Bring home some samples, an off white or white seems like it would be the best match. Don't go with a grout that's too dark, the contrast will make any tile look too busy with that granite.

OK, thanks. I'll bring home some off white and white samples. There's a gray in the tile that matches the paint.

I think a cream subway tile would look best. No more gray as I agree the granite seems more warm than cool. Grays are tricky.

One of the two creamy tiles in the middle could work and you may want to consider painting the window and door trim.

I like the one in the middle or far right. the grey clashes and other just looks dingy or dirty.

I'm leaning toward the middle one based on the photo. The two on the left are too dark, and the far right sample looks too bright.
