Home not correctly winterized

We just bought a house. The seller (VA) winterized it , then for the inspection the de-winterized it. Everything looked fine. The sale did not go through another 2 months because of title issues and in the meantime the seller winterized the home again. We had the closing on Friday and on Saturday I noticed that there were no sign for winterization throughout the house, no antifreeze (pink liquid) in the toilet. I am worried that they didn't winterize the house properly (if they winterized it at all) and since there was no heating on, some of the pipes burst. The heating will be serviced on Wednesday, plumber will only come on Thursday. I am so worried about all this, and upset that someone not doing their job properly can cost me thousands of dollars to fix. Since it is a REO, we bought the house as is and I don't think I can do much about this legally. What are your thoughts? Could the missing signs and no antifreeze be a legit reason to worry that the house was not winterized properly?
