First time Cattleya owner. Should I repot now?

Hello. Picked up my first Cattleya ever this weekend. A bit nervous as I’ve never had this type of orchid before. This orchid is in bud. Would you repot now or wait until after it blooms ? Asking because it does seem a bit cramped in there is a lot of green Growing on the top of the medium. Not sure if it is Moss or what?

After the plant has bloomed and when spring has arrived might be a better time. Where are you in the USA? Plant looks fine, a slightly larger pot might be needed when you repot. This is the you beaut flowers gallery, might get better response over on discussions.

Wait to repot until after it has bloomed, as Arthur suggests.
