I love this idea, because digging these devices out of the drawer and plugging them in, and then wrapping it all back up and storing it away can be a pain when you are in a hurry. However, I’m concerned because more than once the appliance has been left on on accident on the counter. I feel like this mistake would be a huge fire hazard in a wooden drawer. Does the electricity to the plugin cut off when the drawer closes? In the same manner that a closet light can shut off when you close the door?
