I opted for inexpensive stain on cement basement floor, and have been happy with the look, a matte finish. Due to some wear over last 15 years, I'm in the process of redoing/touching up. I don't believe I put a sealer on after staining originally and thinking I will add this step. My question is: matte or a shine finish? What are pros, cons for a shine finish. I'm thinking it may be a nice change, but husband is saying he won't like the glare. Appreciate any thoughts, thanks!
