Closet Help!

We have a very small master bedroom closet, and we are struggling to sell our home because of it. What are some inexpensive ideas that could make this closet more appealing? We keep our clothes in the closet that is in the bedroom across the hall. That bedroom has a very large closet in it.

If your possible buyers see that you keep all your clothes in a closet in another bedroom, that’s a red flag. What’s in your master closet now? You should put your clothes in it (like maybe 3/4 full) and then for the REST of your clothes, put them in storage. Or at least in clothes bags in the other closet so it looks like they are in storage and are NOT regular clothes that just won’t fit in your master closet.

No need to point out problems to your buyers.

If the ceiling is high enough, can you have two hanging rods? If the door swings out, can you could put shelves on left & right sides? How about putting hooks on the inside of door. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest.

Also, I would take about half of the clothes out so it doesn't scream crowded and make it look very neat and organized.

Not enough info.

How old is your home. Many older houses have smaller closets.

Why isn't the room with the large closet set up as the master?

Have you emptied all your closets? Empty closets show larger.

Selling Houses on Netflix has some space saving solutions but I'd go so far as to create a" built in" dresser and raise the closet bar.

Could you add IKEA pax wardrobes to one wall. I prefer them to walk in closets for storage and organization.

How small is very small? Give us a sketch of the entire space, there may be a solution
