Paint and update front porch

I bought this home in 2014, and have slowly been making changes to it. We had the landscaping done and now we are interested in painting the house a different color that gives it more curb appeal and makes it look brighter. I would also like to update the porch and stairs, I was thinking maybe I should change the pillars or the railing. Any ideas please!!!!

I would pick a beige that won't clash with the stone. The pillars and railings should be the same color.

We agree with gracie01. Uniform color would help a lot and paint would be a very quick and inexpensive way to get an updated look. A lighter color would be the way to go and would "open" up the front of the house. Another option is to do what one of our customers below did. Wrap the bottom of your posts with stone that matches the stone façade on the rest of the house......
