What will you be doing in the rest of the home? What fabrics will you be using, chair seats, window treatments, etc.? Have you chosen a rug for the area? There a thousands of paint colors and only a few of the above mentioned items that you will like, so always choose your paint color last. Everyone wants to "paint before we move in" because of the mess...but then you have to live with it. It really isn't so bad to paint with the color you REALLY want after you have chosen all of the above items that you love.

i would go wih a flat paint in pale yellow or cream or gray all the same, nothing breaking up rooms.

Agreed with a warm buttery color or a medium toned gray color.

A close up of your backsplash would help...it looks to have warm undertones. You might consider Benjamin Moore's Pale Moon as shown in this inviting kitchen.

For myself, when windows frame the outdoors I like to use a very, very soft sage-y green on the walls, to bring the outside in and create calm and relaxation. For a bedroom I like a very soft yellow for comfort and warmth, like S-W Jersey Cream. Have fun; Good luck.

Like alwaysdesigning, I would want to draw the eye outwards to the view through the windows by using a natural, neutral colour. You can then add any accent colour of your choice via table settings and kitchen accessories.

I'd suggest a light grey/sage such as Benjamin Moore's Georgian Green - against the white and floors it would work magically. You could also try the paint manufacturer's online visualisers or a paint color visualiser app like Paint My Place

I tend to agree with the idea of living in a space first, but sometimes it just isn't all that practical. Because the backsplash has some warm tones, I would keep that in mind. I agree with the idea of a gray on the green side, possibly the vapor trails/fieldstone strip from BM. I would keep it all the same color. BM Balboa Mist is also nice, it's a gray that is more on the brownish side. Good luck, the house is beautiful!

I would bring the outside in with either some shade of green or a toasty tan.

I'm not a designer or so, but I love the current colours. Some light windowtreatments and that's it.

Hi John, great idea to get rid of the pink. What a beautiful dining area! I would be inclined to use a dramatic wallpaper on the end wall, I can visualise a black and white pattern working well (in a style relevant to your tastes), and would go with white (to match a shade in the wallpaper) on the remaining walls and in the kitchen.
There is no room for art in the dining area that I can see so a patterned wallpaper would add interest and could provide ambience and a talking point.
The kitchen cabinetry would settle better with a white wall too I believe. You can then have fun pulling in as much or as little colour as you like with kitchen linen and accessories.

I'm all about green - have three rooms of it. Always get comments about how calming it is and how it makes people feel good. It would frame your views nicely.

I agree with Barbara about finding a rug and window treatments first. Depending on your personality and what colors appeal to you, I wanted to point out that with this much light coming into the dining area, I would not be afraid to go with a deep color like red in that space.
If you don"t want to carry a deep color into the kitchen though, and one of the dining walls has a common wall with the kitchen that is something to think about if you want different colors in the two spaces.
Since the kitchen has all white cabinets and a dark floor and black appliances, I would be tempted to go gray in there and use bright colorful accessories and accents. Or go the other way, and use a cheerful color on the walls and use black/ white / nuetral colors with the accessories.
No matter what you do, this is such a beautiful place, I don't think you can go wrong if you just go with what you love.

I agree with Barbra, paint colors should come after the other elements in the room. there are 1000's of choices, but in a room with so many windows you must also consider the SUN which will affect the color of the paint you choose. If the room gets alot of sun stick with colors with yellow undertones, yellow, organge, and green.

I also agree with Barbara in considering other elements in the room first. A richly patterned rug would be a great starting point from which you could pull a tone for the walls. Don't forget the ceiling too. There's so much real estate up there! I personally like to use a light tint on the ceiling to blur the line between the wall and the ceiling, creating an overall softness and feeling of spaciousness. 20% of the wall color is usually sufficient.

Depending on the wall color you choose, if there is a clear line between the kitchen ceiling and the morning room ceiling, I would consider painting the morning room ceiling in Sherwin Williams "Sea Salt". This pale aqua hue will make you feel like you're dining outdoors!

Try a toap color my mom had her kitchen redone and it was painted with a toap color and it looks great. It give the whole area a warm feeling

What mood or feeling are you trying to create? I have a white kitchen like you with black counters and appliances and dark wood table and cabinet, because I have a lake view I wanted to bring the lakeside feeling into my kitchen/dining space so I painted my home in Benjamin more dockside blue. Having white cabinets, sky's the limit for colors.

Please post some "after" pictures when you finish! Was looking at the rooms again and although the pendant lights are all nice- at some point I would invest in some more intersting ones, but my style may be much different that yours :) Have fun with the decorating!

With all the white, my first choice would be a gray-blue color, something like the photo that Lkristine posted in her comment above. Another polar opposite, and more energizing option (since your walls are mostly covered with windows and white cabinetry) would be a red shade. I just painted my white-tiled bathroom with a Behr color called "Allure"......it is a deep red without being too brownish and without a lot of pink undertones (I don't care for brick reds or that 80's burgundy red). "Allure" looks fabulous with white.
I'm a dog owner so not a fan of rugs......if you have beautiful floors, I don't see the need to cover them up with something that is more difficult to keep clean.

Anything but the peach. The blue grays would work. Get sample put on wall.
