Hello everyone. My wife and I are installing a bar in our basement and for the life of me, I can't figure out if most people have both the "in-cabinet" lighting and under-cabinet lighting tied to the same switch. I can see it both ways, but don't know which is preferred.

Above is our current bar state, the island hasn't been installed yet, and obviously the countertops haven't been either. We went with Silestone Calcutta Gold and we will be installing a backsplash at some point.
