I need some suggestions on furniture placing, etc. For my casual home office. I feel like there is just so much imbalance here. I actually don't like the computer desk and file cabinet. I find it to be outdated, but I don't think it's cost effective to buy new furniture when there is nothing wrong functionally with this one. I'm pretty handy with DIYs though.

So, I need suggestions for how I can update the office desk, hutch and file cabinet.

Also, I need help with how I can make this furniture/plant placement work better.

PS - not sure if this helps, but, i do like a mix of Scandinavia, modern Japanese, modern minimalist, and modern chic/glam styles, touch of farmhouse is allowed as well. I love plants!
