@Flo,I want to go ahead and add the stripes but it so challenging,I tried to stable it between the backseat and cushion but can't get the staple gun far enough to hit the piece of wood which hold the two together,the top part were the curve is easy and the end of seat it's just the middle I can't get is there anything else put there I could use?

Here is a little mock up using some contemporary and some black and reds to tie art, your living room and dining room together. With these details and a new chandelier, you could use a light buffet and I probably wouldn’t paint it. Enjoy!

Ok, that is a problem. I once used the cardboard rolls from toilet paper to slide down in deep crease like that to hold a slipcover in place. Try that. It just might be too difficult with the chair style. With some nice tablescaping and a new chandelier, along the lines I posted you probably can leave the chairs alone.

Wait til you get a sideboard. I think the long one with trees and red is a nice compliment to the space and the typical long sideboard shapes. Have fun with it. For items for your table, just make sure you have varying sizes, heights and looks. That makes it interesting. If everything is the same height, not good. I tried to depict that but kind of hard to do with these "sketch" tools.

@Flo,I went out today and gathered some deco pieces used your inspiration picture,unfortunately couldn't find any red vases... to incorporate in to the design so for right know that's what I have.I know I can't have all of them on the table so which one/two should I keep?? I will definitely search for something red but in the meantime need to figure out what works? Thank you!!

Ok, how do I say this?! This is a nice group, but I am concerned about the pure white with your cream and warm colors in your spaces. I would look for more “ivory” colored pieces. The candlesticks are nice but too tall for the table. Sorry. I would look for candle sticks that are around 10” High so with a 3” candle you have 13” of height. I will post the pieces I chose to give you better idea of sizes, colors and shapes to hunt for. You also could use two different candlesticks and vary their height. Accessories are hard. The red also is best if it has some black. Too clear a red won’t work. A more blue red is better with your warm colors. So remember this is a process.

@Flo,thank you! Once I got everything on the table, I was afraid you might say it,the vases are to white I realized it too! So with candlesticks you said I could use varies sizes? If I spread them out would that still look Ok? Do you like the candkesticks?I got the candlesticks at Kirkland they had one size shorter maybe I should get that size than.
It's been a challenge to find anything for this table I have been trying for long time but no luck.I will return everything and start over the pics you send me will help with my next choices,thanks again.

We group things now, rather than spread out on table. So with a cluster, you could use two different height candlesticks. Think this way. No two pieces the same height. Start with tallest, might be red glass piece. Then step down in size for each piece. Think black, cream, blue/red vase or ginger jar, lower pot, could be black. You probably can’t get everything at one shop. Pier 1 might be good starting point. I would keep that red vase I posted in mind. One piece should be really great. That vase is really perfect, IMO. It is fairly pricey, but keep it in mind and make up savings with other less important pieces. :)

You want 5-7 pieces. Always use odd number. It is just more interesting. The mirror could work. Could you paint the brown looking pieces black?

@Flo,trying, finding the right acvessoreis it's really hard, specially for this dining table, it's so challenging but with your help I know I will have a beautiful dining room.It's specially hard cause everything out there is so" farmhouse style" nothing against it but want fit in my house.The vase should be here by next week in the mean time I will visit pier 1 and see what they have.Thank you Flo!!

Great - don't block out options either. We want this to "read" like a "collection" you have made over time, so not matchy-matchy. You might be able to incorporate a tall straight sided glass hurricane type piece. Just giving you ideas for what to look for as you shop around. Keep receipts and make notes on the back of receipts of what specific items are. A lot of stores don't notate specifics well and when you buy several in one day and then want to return, it becomes difficult to match up receipts. Just saying....experience speaks! haha!

I saw couple of hurricane pieces that I really liked could I put decorative black balls in them?? Hobby Lobby had some nice one and thank you for the tip :):)

Worth a try. This is about trying a bunch of items and coming up with best overall look. Go for it!

Watch heights of items though. If I recall the red vase is 13" high (yes, I just verified that height) so each additional piece should step down from that height. Your petal container (vase) is probably lowest. So you have the space in between, height-wise.

No two pieces the same height. If you find a deal on a pair of candlesticks, you can use small stands to elevate one, so that is a trick to keep in mind too.

Ok!! This what I came home with,that was fun and challenging.I went out to Pier 1,World market,2 Home goods and Hobby lobby.I just placed the pieces on the table to show you what I got ,didn't play around yet,trying to get some food ready for the kids and please don't feel bad to tell me if any of these don't look good tjank.you Flo;);)

Ok. Good effort. I think we can make the candlesticks work although i would like more modern shape and look. The glass jar is too thin and style is not modern so doesn’t work. The black knot might fit in. So keep trying.

made some update in my dining room, this is how far I come,I bought a new side board moved the canvas from the formal living room over the table and added some accessories I am pretty happy how everything is looking,still searching for the right chandelier.:):)

Maybe save that fabric for another job and buy new fabric which looks better with the slightly golden color of the chair. That would be a lot less effort required.

Sideboard is gorgeous! You can slide the lamps to just come to outside of art. Then group the silver pieces together on the sideboard. I like the blue glass pieces but they don’t reference anything in the space. Stick with your color palette ted, black, navy and beige. Glad you are hanging in there! Good job.

@Flo,so glad you commented!! I have found the sideboard at Craigslist it is actually 2 side boards,I have made.some changes in the living room since I moved the rug from the family room in to living room I have more of the blue accents now,these are the pic of the living room.

Remember the vase you recommended it came in and I stil have it.
