Design Dilemma Dining Room Other

Creating a sitting room

I am transforming the dining room into a sitting room. I am also planning to use the space for indoor plants and herbs since it's right off the kitchen. I am in the process of getting the room now and have attached some picks to give an idea of the space and colors. nothing in the picks will be staying in the room, which was previously used as an office. i have already purchased a chair and rug, which I have also attached pics of. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Have you picked a wall, the area for the plants / for the chair?

Just a photo idea for the room -
- 6.75" long x 4.5" wide x 17" high / indoor or outdoor / glass slides out for cleaning.

Other than dark floor, it's a soft garden spa feeling....

... I wonder what would go between the windows? a chest for supplies and herbs on top?

or the 2 tall green planters? would they work better in a corner - or heavens! right where they are.... is that a family room?
