Those are beautiful. My dh's grandma would have loved those! She loved snapdragons.

I've had Princess (white w/purple eye) snapdragons growing happily among roses in 1 bed for the last approx 15 years. Here in NJ, they have strong perennial tendencies. And they self seed, with some nice resulting variations. Never needed to supplement with new purchases. Good floriferousness all season. Not too tall; perfect with roses. But they are 1 reason why I can't use a barrier method to combat midge.

I've never Had snapdragons that were that healthy either but I think I got them from the local Grange and they're called peaches and cream

Good gravy those are gorgeous!! I got some seed for sherbet Chantilly ones from floret . I hope they turn out ! I'll be sure to show them if they do . Wow you are very lucky to be able to buy those in person !

rifis I'm going to look that up .. I love purples

Kristine they’re gorgeous and luscious. I would add them to salads and desserts... or just bouquets for the house because they’re so beautiful!

I got lots of the Madame Butterfly type from Johnny’s Seeds this year... in dark burgundy red, white, bronze and pink. They look pretty amazing too. Very double. Johnny’s also has lots of the other types like Chantilly, Potomac, etc., if anyone is interested in starting some seeds:

Ooh, they have some realty beautiful colors.

I grew these and the Chantilly ones and both were gorgeous. BTW these to me look like the twinny series as someone stated above. The Chantilly has azelia like blooms and are also gorgeous. I grow the "copper" ones and they change from deep orange to light pink on top, truly lovely. Others I have had great success with are the Aroma series. They have a beautiful bi colored peach one too. I get mine from Swallowtail Garden Seeds.

Just in case I can't find them locally this year I'm going to order several from Annie's just to make sure that I have some.

Any recommendations on a good lavender or purple variety?
