Mitered edge. Looks an approx 2 inch edge - because it has a mitered edge. And it is a 3cm counter (not 2cm) and this IS a mitered edge - than the 3cm was a waste of $. Think about it . . . .

It is in fact a laminated edge. The center seam where the two edges are laminated you will notice the pattern doesn't quite match up. Visually it is insignificant. Overall, the island has a beautiful and substantial presence! 6cm thick, or 2.5"

Definitely a mitered edge is far more attractive! Depending on the fabrication shop the time, material, and labor involved to create a mitered edge may drive the price up more than what the client is interested in paying. The technique is very precise and can be laborious. As long as they are aware of what the finished product will look like and approved its production,
