Has anyone tried growing peanuts in a large pot or container? I'm a fairly experienced gardening hobbyist in CT zone 6, and our season is a little too short to grow peanuts in the garden.

How much room do the roots need? Since the flowers need to contact the ground to produce the peanuts, do they need extra room above ground?

If you've had good or bad experiences attempting this, or have suggestions, I'd like to hear about it.
