    Oh my. :-(

    I'm ok!! Thank you!!

Everyone here took turns with the flu than it was my turn. Than my internet wouldn't stay connected. I could write a sentence and sometimes it stayed connected long enough to submit. Lol. Comcast delivered and hooked up a new internet WiFi box.

MiMi I'll answer your email today..I found it.

Everyone here has recovered, hubs returned to work light duty and no more than 15 hours a week. Sigh.

My Little Lil is sick and I'm a nervous wreck. She can keep water down but not food. Shes too small to go without food...I'm really scared. She's the love of my life.

Isn't it one thing after another. ..

Big ((((HUGS)))) to ALL of you.

Glad to hear the household is getting back to healthy.

    Keep an eye on Lil.

Dogs can get the flu. Is she coughing, sneezing, have a fever, lethargy, red eyes or runny eyes? (some signs of flu). Loss of appetite is normal if she's not feeling well in general. Time to go to the vet if she has starts showing those symptoms up above.

    Hugs to Lil.

Thank You George. As for Lil...Friday around 10am she threw up clear stomach acid immediately ran for her toy afterwards playing than crying and licking her lips..her way of saying feed me mama. She ate normally and seemed fine the rest of the day...Saturday she played and appeared fine...ate her brunch (won't eat early) 2 hours later she threw about half of it up...acted normal afterwards. ..she did the same at dinner time. Sunday was a repeat except I had boiled boneless skinless chicken breast for her...about 2 hours later it came back up. This morning she begged to eat early unusual for her but she probably starved. I gave her a small piece of chicken about the size of a small egg..that was almost 5 hours ago and so far its stayed down. I'll give a small piece again in a few minutes. She's drinking well and no vomiting of her water Thank God. No cough or any other symptoms. .actually other than the vomiting she's acting fine. I'm worried sick that it could be a blockage. Had a normal poop this mmorning. Shes too small not to be eating enough as these small dogs can have blood sugar problems fast from not eating enough. I'll let yoj know how she's doing later...Thank You.

Mama.... my little one has the same problems off and on. The vet switched her food to low fat. I also put 1/4 of a 20mg Pepcid pill in her nighttime food. It helps lot, she also gets a doggie probiotic on her food of an evening.

One of our cats is on Pepcid, well, the generic famotidine. It is cheap. And it seems to help keep our old guy from barfing. Our vet says it not only helps damp down acid, it helps move things along. We also use Prozyme which is a mix of digestive enzymes. Amazon has it. A ten pound cat gets 1/8 tsp on each meal so it really lasts. Will help keep old critters from getting pancreatitis. Mama, take a look and if you want to try it, I can mail you a baggie. Message me, or email. Of course, it looks like cocaine . . .lol. Good luck with the mailman if it ruptures. https://www.amazon.com/Prozyme-454-g/dp/B003VL4WS6

MizLizzie...thanks for posting that link, I just now ordered a smaller bottle of it. I had my little dog at the vet last week with digestive issues, she has a lot of tummy issues off and on, on a regular basis. I will send you some too MamaP when it comes. How is little Lil today?

    Hey....I love you kids!!!

Lil is....so-so. A few days ago I scraped everything me and the kids had and took her to the vet. She had fluids, a steroid shot and a shot for vomiting (Cerenia)...vet thinks...without test no way to know for sure but thinks its Pancreatitis...she's on a strict diet of boiled boneless skinless chicken breast for now. Her vomiting has stopped she's eating but not great and gives very soft moans so she does hurt.

She was started on Pepcid 5mg once a day in the morning. Thank you kids for recommending Pepcid...I called the vet and he said yes start her on it as its a great idea.

Lil has had many gastro issues thru her life and should have been put on pepcid a long time ago.

    I don't have a good feeling...Lil isn't vomiting but she's not well.

    I'll be back. ..kids!!

Just something to think about regarding your dog being sick, I've seen this happen several times. When she first got sick, did you buy a new bag of food or open a new package of treats or anything that you can think of that was new at the same time she started to become sick, even if you began to give her something to eat that would seem OK such as a vegetable or fruit? Anything new or out of the ordinary can cause a sensitive stomach dog to be sick. I have also seen people get (myself included) a BAD BAG of dog food or a bad can of dog food, could have Salmonella in it. I've also seen a dog that was sick and nothing had changed that the owner could think of but come to find out, their dog food that they had been feeding the dog for years changed their ingredients without anyone realizing it. The dog kept on having diarrhea for the longest until finally they changed brands of food and the dog is fine now. My dog became violently ill, the cause ended up being a contaminated bag of dog treats that I had just bought. A variety that she had been getting for a year. It is a high end brand that was quite pricey. She has also become ill for no reason but I had just opened a new bag of dog food about a week earlier. After I went and bought a new bag, she was fine immediately. Something else I just thought about, do you give her peanut butter, don't even give the sort that is sweetened with an artificial sweetener, it can be fatal to dogs. Make sure you ask the kids if they have been giving her a bite of their food...that could also make her sick. Kids love to sneak the dog treats that they aren't supposed to have!

Mama... Did the vet say anything about putting her on a low fat food? That would be the first thing I would do if I were you. I wish she had given you some FortiFlora to sprinkle on her food. Perhaps you could get a couple little packs of it from the vet for not very much? The Prozyme I ordered comes today, please message me your address so I can get some in the mail to you asap....
