I'm thinking on this but I think a three pendant light would be good above the table. For the window treatment, I'm considering a paper screen... Still thinking...

This isn't what I was thinking but this would look stylish above the table. I actually was thinking more of a three pendant chanderlier but this one would look great.

Roman shades would probably be the cleanest look for the windows.

I'm not a fan of rugs in dining rooms, but I know most people are. If you wanted to use a rug you could use one to add texture to the room. I'd love to see a textured white rug, but it just doesn't seem practical for a dining space. Maybe a textured gray with some white still in it?

I like the George Nelson three pendant you mentioned for your modern white chandelier. Below are a few other options I saw on houzz.

Gorgeous room! I think no rug, as it will cover most of your floor. Huge chandelier would be great. We actually keep our traditional chandelier with very similar modern room.

Nice room! I don’t know about you, but I like to have a light that shines down over the table. In our dining room we have this huge fixture from IKEA (discontinued now). I think you might need two lights over your table, since it is quite long. I am also a fan of rugs.

I put the chandeliers into your room via photoshop, there may be other more accessible/easy to use programs. I'm not sure.

Roller/Solar shades would meld well with the contemporary vibe.

If you want a different look, try a trimmed/banded Roman Shade.

Or perhaps an Allure horizontal sheer shade.

I really think some rustic wood on the wall of windows and the chandelier would be enough to warm it up and give it the pop you need. Love the room. No rug would be needed with the light wood on the wall.

Rug suggestions- I'd look for hues of muted greys, neutrals, metallics and textures for your space. I think one with a subtle print like these:
