For the "middle room", we built a sort of daybed/reading nook up against the windows with storage baskets. In the dining area, we wanted to maintain as much space as possible and so we built the bench seating as four individual boxes (with lids on hinges) for storage (hidden under seat cushions). We finished it off with bead board and trim and replaced the chandelier with pendant lights.
