I think it's cute and a good way to practice a block or technique.

I still working on my Texas/Cowboy quilt. I hoped to finish the top last weekend. However, I had to take it apart again for the umpteenth time today when it was getting close to the end. The bottom section did not fit exactly right. It's going to be a really great quilt. I can't seem to skip over the errors. I'd rather take it apart and fix it than look at the mistakes.

It's something I've never done before, so it's been quite a learning curve. I'll post photos when I get the top finished.

PS...some leftover scraps called out from the sewing room last night. They were just too pretty to toss, so I quilted another quick mug rug with them.

Love your bright mug rug! Writng with thread just takes practice and it's cool when the receiver, or yourself in this case, reads the message with each use!

Thanks, Donna! They are bright and cheery, and I was sewing/quilting. A plus in my world. Yes, my name is Larri, pronounced just like Larry. I was named after my father, who did not want a "Junior."

I think my friend Greg's mother just liked the name. Never mind that it's usually a boy's!
