I think the idea of a round foyer table with a chandelier above it is perfect for the space. The foyer should introduce you, your style and hint at what is to be anticipated in the adjoining rooms, so we need to know what is going on with the other rooms. What is your furniture style, your color favs, your personal touch? Those things should echo here.

A single chandelier would work better.

Agreed, there is only electrical for one chandelier now since we felt it was a better fit than the two previously there.

i tend to be more on the traditional side, but simple.

bathrooms and kitchen fixtures will be chrome... kitchen is attached chrome cage. family room will be oil rubbed bronze 48" chandelier, nook will be wood and bronze mix

furniture is not selected yet. will be neutrals and some dark pieces

Gorgeous staircase! I agree with above and say a single chandelier with a center table. I've attached a photo of a Kelly Wearstler chandelier that I have used recently for a similar situation and came out stunning. Maybe a dark stain center table to tie in the dark accents?
