I'm not sure where the home owners store the tops when they are not using them.

Actually, we figured out our own solution. We created a pallet table on 4 heavy duty casters, painted them black and the tops fit on them and slide under the table

If you have any wall space, you can stain (2) panels of wood about 60" high and 4" wide. Mount these to the wall (find a stud) about 36" apart. Now attach small "L" shaped brackets at the bottom of each panel, you can line them if you like as well. We have done this for a few clients who do not want anything on the floor ;)
