When you get the new door get rid of those silly shutters beside the one you have,As for style I am not sure what it is you want. As for a screen door just get a phantom screen and then you do not have to worry about covering the door.

I think your house would look great with a full glass door and side lights. I have the same thing (in white) and it makes my house stand out from the neighbors.

Nothing to do with landscaping.

Craftsman door let a good amount of light in without giving up your privacy.

I don’t think that door gives more light than what she has. I think the craftsman door could work as pictured it is hard to see into the house with that glass.

You can always just keep the shutters because they do match the rest of your shutters and just replace the door. Either would be fine. The house is beautiful and doesn't need to be changed. Although the door is a little too outdated and simple for your home. I suggest getting something that'll really present itself nicely and stand out.
