I was trying to be efficient. I had prepped the fabrics for several months’ blocks and had started cutting.

I had various fat and long quarters draped on the ironing board along with a few fabrics for other projects.

I cut out the March batiks, but could not find the purple I thought I had

I cut the black pieces for March, May, and October.

I cut a beautiful purple for April.

Then I realized I had cut March’s purple batik for the Baby Bud - instead of cutting the tiny-print purple I had earmarked for April.

The batik pieces are too small for March’s Pinwheel blocks.

Would this this purple batik be acceptable for the “reads as a solid” purple for the Baby Buds block?

If not, it can go in the scrap box, it’s not a big deal...but I have already cut enough for three Baby Bud blocks. :(

I’m going back to prepping only one month at a time.
