Wool wears really well in high traffic areas. I am having a devil of a time finding a stair runner myself.

I don’t see the link to the wool runner, only the synthetic. Regardless, another vote for wool.

I guess wool it will be. Next question then is how the runner looks by the entry rug that’s about three feet away from the stairs. The stairs go down so it’s not like you come into the entry and see the rug on the floor and the runner going up some stairs behind it.

and below photo is living room rug that’s a little farther away. You wouldn’t ever look at this and the stairs at the same time.

I think mixing patterns is quite ok. It adds to the interest and is not matchy-matchy.

I like the combination very much. It all flows very nicely.
