I just did Benjamin Moore revere pewter all in my living room. It is a great neutral color. The paint is still wet in this photo.

That's really pretty. What would you do with the ceiling color? I really don't want WHITE white. I started with SW Mega Greige for wall color and a color two shades lighter for ceiling Now the greige looks too muddy with the stone.

What about something warmer? Like sherwin Williams Sandy Ridge. Sw7535. It has lots of cocoa color but a hint of olive. Changes a lot in the light and shadows. I paired it with a coastal aqua for a side wall

I like that. My first choice when I first started this was SW Wool Skein 6148. I just go back and forth. I do want some warmth in the room. There is a wall of windows on the adjacent wall so there will be a lot of indirect natural light. These decisions are killing me!:)

A light blue wouldn't look too bad with the fireplace. That fireplace is beautiful!

Set up a test - test wool skein, sandy ridge, mega greige - paint them all on foamcore boards and set them around your room. Aim for a color that matches the hearth stone.

Paint it the same colour as the 3 stones on the bottom. This will make the wall stand out and there are the stone colour hues in the bricks. If you went dark the fireplace wouldn't stand out as much.

Kind of dark but walls are Worldly Gray (SW) and ceiling is 25% worldly gray. I can't remember colors on tray ceilings in entry and dining area. The ceiling looks white here I guess because of lighting. It's darker than white though but not super dark. I just couldn't get with the really dark ceiling. I really like the color.
