Stacking Miele combi-steam over regular Wolf 30 inch oven?

We think we want the Miele combi-steam and regular Wolf 30 inch oven, and the best spot in our kitchen would be to stack them. How do you think the Miele combo-steam with trim kit in clean touch stainless with contour handle look above either Wolf 30 inch M series professional oven or Wolf 30 inch M series contemporary oven in stainless without a handle? The handless Wolf oven may look better with the Miele above it, but still different stainless steel. Also I tend to like the professional look of the M series professional rather than the new handleless Wolf oven. Get the Wolf convection steam oven with professional handle above M series Wolf oven with professional handle instead, so the two match since they are stacked? Or worth it to mis-match and get Miele above and Wolf below, but will that look too strange? Thanks so much!

Thanks so much! Yes in your photo the stacked appliances look great! But the grey and black appear similar. What about Wolf professional handle M series oven with the red knobs below and Miele combi steam with contour handles in clean touch stainless above? Different handles, different stainless, and different knobs with red Wolf knobs below.

This is one of the many Houzz rules I have broken. I stacked Miele combi steam oven over Bosch oven. I chose not to use trim kit. The color and handles are very similar. No one has ever commented that it looks weird. Maybe they're all too kind.

Wow! That looks great! Thank you for posting the photo of your Miele above the Bosch. They go nicely together!

Thank you athomeoncc and cheri127. We're thinking of doing exactly that combo (Miele Steam and Bosch convection). I didn't know if the mix and match was worth considering (even though it helps on budget a lot, given the difference in price between the Miele 30" oven and the Bosch 30" oven). But it looks great.

For those of you who have stacked the Miele Combi with the Bosch, how do you like both ovens? Was trying to get the wolf Combi, but the handles really do clash with all other oven compared to the Miele. Heard Miele was harder to clean, so I am hesitant, but not looked to spend 9k + on matching (wolf) wall ovens. Thanks!

Honestly you are making appliance decisions based on handles , shame on you . You buy appliances for how they work for how you cook and believe if it doesn’t work for you the handles are the least of your problems.

Sorry I can't help. We haven't moved in yet.

Regarding handles. We got the comfort handle on the Miele. I love the pivot and am keeping it, but I think the smaller one looks better.

My Miele and Bosch are two and a half years old. I don't remember the handle names but the Miele handle does pivot. I use the Miele most often. I use it for convection baking a lot and am very happy with it. I went pretty basic with the Bosch. I tend not to like too many bells and whistles. I didn't get the model that does the rapid preheat. It does take a while to get to temp, but usually it is to temp by the time food is prepped. As for use - it heats to the temp I set and it bakes or roasts the food like an oven should. I don't know that a more expensive oven would make anything taste better. I've had no problems cleaning either, but I don't cook a lot of greasy foods.

I put my steam oven off to the side. I have a microwave and convection oven stacked.

I have a feeling as long as the two things are similar (stainless steel and shiny dark glass usually) most people really don’t notice handle differences when visiting a kitchen. I think it is one of those things we worry about when doing a kitchen that very few other people think about in other people’s space.

“Honestly you are making appliance decisions based on handles , shame on you . You buy appliances for how they work for how you cook.”

Not everyone has your attitude. For example, I don’t cook that often and when I cook I pan fry something or microwave a frozen dinner. I could do that with https://www.amazon.com/Cusimax-Stainless-Portable-Infrared-CMIP-B120/dp/B01K73ML7Y

    and

    https://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-WCM660W-Counter-Rotary-Microwave/dp/B00BGTO1WC

But I want appliances that look awesome. So I make buying decisions based on handles.

Wow. I cook and I make decisions on how appliances function. By the way, I got a Wolf convection oven and LOVE IT. I have had Jenn Air convection and a GE convection oven and hands down the Wolf is the best I have ever cooked with. I also love my steam oven (3rd oven). I have a convection microwave as my second oven on top and its fine. I don’t notice the difference with it as I do the convection ovens. I also went the subzero refrigerator (column) and separate freezer drawers which I love. I have a huge refrigerator and then one can place the drawers anywhere in the kitchen.

Just shows that different people have different needs and wants. Glad that I could wow you.

athomeoncc - What's the height of the floor for the top of the Miele? And for the top of the Bosch? Let me know. Thanks.

We just had a Miele Steam oven placed over a 30 inch Miele regular oven and the trip kit for the steam oven is awful. In fact, after it was installed by the appliance company, my husband touched the side of the trim and it fell off. Has anyone had this issue with the trim kit?

The worse installers and product ever. Had whole kitchen installed and they never hooked up the water lines to 3 ovens. They have been back at least 5-6 times and cannot get the combo steam oven working, its been a year and at least 30 phone calls to service, with promise of return and ok to swap out with a new one- 2 months ago- and still now one at Miele will take ownership of this issue and exchange the lemon.

Incredibly poor performance for a company that bills themselves as the best product and customer service. Service managers refuse to speak with me, only front line folks (who are very nice).

Go with Wolf- I spent $45K on Miele and I regret it ever since the installs 1 yr ago.

gtcircus--are you still loving your Wolf convection oven? Is it a wall oven? Have you had any issues with the blue enamel chipping, cracking or flaking?

Christos--have you had your Miele problems sorted out? We're doing a new build and trying to decide between Wolf or Miele for a combi steam and wall oven. Our friends have Miele, and they love it, but just had problems with the combi steam, and it took weeks to get it fixed. But Wolf has that class action lawsuit regarding the blue enamel. So it's hard to decide which one!

Virginia--did your Miele trim kit ever get fixed? Are you happy with it now, or regretting your purchase? We are tentatively planning on Miele combi steam with trim kit and Miele 30" wall oven, stacked. So would be very happy to get any comments on your experience so far. Thanks!

@lollies3rd, curious what you ended up doing. I am also considering the Miele combi steam (now 30" exterior vs a trim kit) and stacking with a 30" Wolf or Miele oven. Do you like your choice?

@lollies3rd @thekeller4 I'm now in the market for new ovens. Love the Miele combi steam 30" and trying to decide on the oven that will stack underneath it. What did you end up with and are you happy with it?

@athomeoncc Your stacked Miele looks good. I’m planning a similar arrangement in a tall cabinet. Just curious if you needed to cut out a vent in the cabinet above it.
