Where do you live? Bermuda seed won't do well UNLESS the soil is HOT. Usually that means the seed won't sprout until mid June.

Do you have any shade in your yard? Bermuda will always thin out and disappear in the shade.

I live in Central Texas and grass gets full sun. Backstory is I sprayed sedge ender last summer when temp was above 90degrees and I learned my lesson resulting in a few bare spots. I know seeding won’t take until it is hot but is plugging different? I have read elsewhere that you can plug really anytime of year. Probably wouldn’t do this for another month or so

Plugs also fill in quicker if you topdress with any product designed for lawns at your garden center. Usually 1/4 to 3/8" layer will do the trick.

Plug or sod is definitely your best bet, but how strong was that sedge ender dose? I've been using it for years without any damage issues & it's always stupid hot in Houston.

reeljake- thanks. You think it will be OK to plug even if I just put down preemergent last month? I dissolved two 13.5g packets in 2gal water and sprayed over roughly 2,000 sqft as the package says. It was in the heat of summer. Does sedge hammer work well for you down there? I am about to give Certainty a try if it doesn't cut it this spring. The sedge is already significantly growing in my yard in Waco

Ok, your first post said sedge ender--different product entirely. Sedge hammer is the powder packets. Sedge ender is a weird yellow goo. I've never had any issues with damage using sedge ender, it works great even at half dose & as a bonus it also works on crabgrass.

I think plugging is fine even after preM, Bermuda with an intact root structure is tough to kill.

Whoops, sorry y’all, I did mean sedge hammer (halsulfuron). I have only used sulfentrazone in the ortho sedge formulation but may have to give sedgeENDER formulation a try. Thanks for the help y’all
