KraftMaid poor quality cabinets and molding

I want to help the community with kitchen remodel projects. I am very

disappointed with my recent purchase of KraftMaid cabinets. This is not the first time I experienced problems with their quality or lack of final inspections. I had previously purchased a large amount of kitchen cabinets for a remodel of my house. I had 3 drawer fronts split within two months of the purchase, very puzzling but not good since it was the same drawer front.

I recently purchased a number of door and drawer fronts for another kitchen remodel and experienced one warped door and a large amount of crown molding that the paint just pealed off of before we were able to install it. Obliviously a lack of quality control and final inspection.

If you're considering new cabinets I would definitely stay away from KraftMaid, don't make the same mistake I did twice.

Thanks for the reply, the picture shows the paint pealing off of the crown molding. It also show that no primer was used on the base wood molding.

I view that as a minor flaw. As long as the cabinets are constructed well and no cracks and doors, draw work like "brand new"; it is 100% perfect.

Any wood can split at 14% humidity like many houses had this past winter. A whole home humifier is required to maintain your warranty. And not slopping water all over something.

Kraftmaid is producing very bad QUALITY cabinets. I have pictures to prove them.

I received the cracked woods and too much glues on the cabinet. I tried to resolve those issues with Lowe’s store and Kraftmaid’s vendo. But, no good result.

Butchery by an installer is not the manufacturer’s issue. Where did you find that installer? Good grief!

The two splits are installer related. Failure to drill pilot holes and placing a screw too close to the edge of the wood.

The bad finish on the door--that door should be replaced. That one IS on Kraftmaid.
